I have until now had my website (Premium Website Builder) as a viewing site with my items shown but no actual stock level, i now would like to start to enter actual stock and would like to know how do i install a shopping cart and check out with the customers details, payment and shipping labels etc.

Hello Malcolm,

When it comes to shopping carts, there are many different ones you can use for your website. The eshop, which is integrated into the builder, is very basic and is usually outgrown pretty fast. You can check out the different e-commerce apps in the softaculous tool, found in your cPanel. There are programs such as PrestShop, OpenCart, OsCommerce, and ZenCart. Each one is different and has different features so you may want to search reviews about each cart before deciding.

Whichever you choose, you do not have to give up your standard site to use one. You can simply install a shopping cart into a subfolder (such as /store or /shop) and then create a menu item in the builder known as External link to point to it.
