Can't send or receive email with new domain

I registered a domain name, www.true-story-films.com but can't get email to it. Test emails return an error message that says:

ILLEGAL HOST/DOMAIN NAME

The Blacklist Checker says INVALID IP OR DOMAIN.

I have a feeling it's the hyphens...even though the domain registrar assured me they would work fine.

Anybody ever see this before? How to fix it?

Thanks for the help!

Hello sdotkling,

I'm sorry you're having trouble setting up email for your domain name. While looking into this for you I did a check of your DNS records for this domain and currently there are no MX records set for that domain because it has not yet been pointed to our Nameservers.

While you have created it as an Addon domain in your cPanel, without pointing the domain to our Nameservers, the domain is not yet hosted through us. Once you have pointed your domain, please allow 4-24 hours for DNS to propagate and your domain (and email) to be fully functional.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
