Switching a site from iWeb to WordPress

I have transferred an exisiting domain to my webhosting hub account. It was built with iWeb but now I would like to recreate the site using WordPress. What steps do I follow to continue using the same domain but rebuild the site pages?

Hello,

Thank you for your questions about rebuilding your newly transferred domain. The first step will be to set up the domain in cPanel as an Addon domain. Next, you can install WordPress through Fantastico De Luxe on that new Addon domain.

If you've already pointed the domain to our Nameservers and allowed 4-24 hours for DNS to propagate, you can simply log into WordPress and begin building the new site.

If the domain is not yet pointed to our Nameservers, you can configure WordPres to work with your temporary URL until you've pointed the domain. Please note, since this will be an addon domain, that domain's temporary URL will look something like http://ehub##.webhostinghub.com/~username/addondomain.com. Once the new site is ready to go, you can then point the domain to our Nameservers and allow 4-24 hours for the change to fully take effect.
