I cancelled my account in early Sept., and would like to transfer my domain name to a new host. How do I do this?

Hello Mcmanwich,

Here's an article on the basics for Domain transfer:

Registrations and Transfers

If you are moving your domain to another REGISTRAR (not all hosts are also registrars - you will need to check with them), then you will first need to request that the domain be released - this must be done with verification of the account (last 4 digits or the Account Management Panel (AMP) password). Once the domains are released, you will be given a URL that will give you the opportunity to obtain the transfer code. You will need this in order to make the transfer. You can initiate the release of your domain by calling into live support and verifying - you can chat or email in. In all cases you will need to verify in order to have the domain released. This is done for security reasons.

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page.

Regards,

Arnel C.
