Where would I find or what are my SMTP settings that I could use to set up email for phpBB3?

I need to know:

1. SMTP server address

2. My SMTP server port

3. My Authentication method for SMTP (which gives me a choice of PLAIN, LOGIN, CRAM-MD5, DIGEST-MD5, and POP-BEFORE-SMTP)

4. My SMTP username

5. My SMTP password

I need to know this information to be able to use the email functions that come with phpBB3. How would I enter this information in? Or, where could I find it?

Hello waratte,
Thank you for your question regarding SMTP with PHPBB, this requires the same settings as your SMTP email settings:

1. SMTP server address
mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain)

2. My SMTP server port
Port 25 or 587

3. My Authentication method for SMTP (which gives me a choice of PLAIN, LOGIN, CRAM-MD5, DIGEST-MD5, and POP-BEFORE-SMTP)
Use the Plain setting.

4. My SMTP username
Enter your email address.

5. My SMTP password
Enter your email password.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
