Hi,

How can I config some settings of apache server ? Like httpd.conf file.

I am trying to set general cache settings of the apache server to impose web browser clients a longer cache time.

Thanks,
cg

Hello cg, and thanks for your question.

Because you're on a shared server you don't have direct access to the Apache httpd.conf file. However most settings that you would put in there, can be instead placed in a .htaccess file.

You can read our guide on how to edit your .htaccess file for steps on how to access and modify this file.

For instance the following code will make a web-browser cache jpg images for a year.

ExpiresActive On
ExpiresByType image/jpg "access plus 1 year"

Please let us know if you had any further questions at all.
