Can I make my header full page width in WordPress?

Hi All,

I'm using the wordpress theme Clipso and so far it worked pretty well but I need a page-width, fixed header.
BUT at the same time, I want my actual header to stay at the center of the page-width header that I add, just like this website's: http://www.bsda-cambodia.org/

Can you pleeease offer me a solution for that? Thanks a lot!

Hello payidar,

Great question about how to customize your WordPress theme. Thanks for including a link to an example of what you want to do, it really helps! Each WordPress theme offers different features and settings you can apply. I've checked your current theme, and editing it the way you want to will not be a quick and easy task. It would require a quite a bit of review and editing of the CSS stylesheet and most likely the template files as well.

I noticed that the example site you gave is using the Atahualpa theme. That particular theme is highly customizable, and switching to that theme would likely be the most efficient way to get the results you are looking for.

If you do decide to continue using your existing theme, before you begin customizing it, you will want to make sure you are using a Child Theme. This way, any future updates to that theme do not overwrite your customizations.
