Here's the link to what Google has to say about my site:

I am not sure how to fix this or how to keep it from happening again. Actually, I'm not sure where to even start to try to correct the problem. Is it an issue in the sub-domain, the joomla install, the server? Is there a solution you can offer to clean the files? Thanks in advance for any help.

-- UPDATE --
Thanks for the response. You said the website has been updated several times since then...how can you tell when and what was updated? I have not been working on this site. It was something I put up for somebody else and haven't really touched it since. He doesn't have any log in information and would have no idea how to update the site. This is concerning.

Hello,

I did a check on your files and do not see any malware in the regular places it is usually injected.

I have further details on the warning from Google. You can find that here: http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http%3A%2F%2Fhooligan.wordshutter.com%2F&client=googlechrome&hl=en-US

It says it noticed malware on 11/19/2012. There are many fils that have been updated and changed since then, so it is likely the malware was removed during an update. It also appears to have been contained to the hooligan subdomain.

To keep your site safe, be sure to change all passwords regularly and use a fairly complicated password withnumbers, letters, capital letters, and even special characters such as !@#$%^&().

You can ask Google to reconsider your site and lifting the warning. Here is a link on site reconsideration: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35843

Best Regards,
Scott M
