When I attempt to delete the index.php file in the cgi-bin folder, it restores itself. How do I permanently delete it?

Hi Flossie,

Thanks for posting the message. I just want to confirm, are you seeing the same exact page be restored, or is it a blank file that when you view the source you see a resemblance?

If you are seeing a blank index file, this is a placeholder put in by our Systems Team. While the code in the source of the page looks harmful, it is actually harmless.

Did you delete the file within your File Manager? I've heard before users editing the permissions of a file and setting them to 000. If this is the case, then you would not be able to delete a file with 000 permissions.

If the issue continues to occur, you can email our support team, support@webhostinghub.com, so that we can investigate the issue further.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
- Brad
