I create a site that has a Guestbook that visitors can leave comments into. Lately, it seems like some type of computerized hacking bot has been leaving garbled messages in the guestbook. This needs to be resolved, as I can't have the visitors seeing this spam every time they visit the site. I keep having to check week after week to clear them out. Please Help! thanks

Hello LesJo,

Thank you for your question about preventing SPAM in your guestbook. Depending on how your site is built, there may be several ways to prevent SPAM in your guestbook. For instance, if you build your site with a CMS there are likely modules/plugins for that. Additionally, there are PHP scripts that can be found online that may be helpful to you as well. I did a little research by searching for "guestbook spam" and got quite a few results for that.

If you would like to give us a little more information about your site (domain name, how your site is built, etc.) I would be happy to provide additional suggestions pertaining to your site.

Thank you,

Christi N.
