Here is my website: www.aperturelabstestsubjects.com

Currently it's showing the Index of / page. I tried to insert an index.htm and then an index.html file under my file control but an index_htm_files folder already exists which contains all of my pages stuff. That file is under my FTP user name file. All of that is under the public_html global folder.

Can anyone give me better advice than the Support Center documentation which simply says to add an index file to your site?

Hello I am Bacon,

If you are seeing the Index Of / page, that simply means that an index.htm, index.html, or index.php page is needed. If the server does not see either of those three pages it will look for a final page named default.htm. If none of those exist in that folder, you get the message.

Common mistakes include either using capital letters in the name (such as Index.html), the index files were uploaded to the wrong folder, or the browser cache needs to be cleared.

Please check all of those, as the only fix for that error is to have an index file in the folder that the server is checking (the root folder, typically public_html)

If you have any further questions, please contact us for additional assistance.

Best Regards,
Scott M
