I just installed WordPress on my temporary URL to begin my design process but realized that my website is still accessible through my actual domain.

How do I edit or block access to my actual domain? Since I only just installed WordPress, all that is showing is the default theme with no posts, and it looks very unprofessional.

Hello Vigil,

Thank you for your question about hiding your WordPress site while you're working on it. The best way to do this is to use a plugin like Simple "Coming soon" And "Under construction." This will allow you to view the site normally when you're logged in, but everyone else will be presented with your Coming Soon or Under Construction message. Please see our article Setting Up a Coming Soon or Maintenance Page for WordPress for instructions on setting this up on your WordPress site.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
