Can I have two blogs on one domain?

Is is possible to install two or more wordpress blogs on my primary domain? If so, how do I go about it? Very new to web hosting so keep instructions simple please. Thank you.

Hello grayarmybrat,

Great question on installing WordPress. You have two options for installing two WordPress blogs on your main domain:

  1. Create a subdomain and install one instance of WordPress to your main domain and the other on the subdomain

  2. During the installation process in Fantastico you will see an option for Install in directory. For one of the WordPress installations, enter the name of the subdirectory where you want to install WordPress

Either of the two options will allow you to have one WordPress installation on your main domain name and the other on either a subdomain or a subdirectory.
