In the Working with blocks series we just explained what a block is, now we will cover moving a block in your Concrete 5 hosting account. This is useful when adjusting the formatting and look of your website.

Moving a Block:

  1. Login to your Concrete5 dashboard.

  2. Select the page you would like to modify by selecting it in the menu bar. For this example I used a page titled test.
  3. move block1
  4. Select edit on the top left.
  5. move block2
  6. Select the block you want to move, and it will bring up a menu. Select move.
  7. move block3
  8. Click the block you want to move, drag and drop it in the new location.

  9. Roll your mouse over editing, and select publish my edits to save what you have done. You will now see the block in its new location.
  10. move block4
Congratulations, you have successfully moved a block within the Concrete5 dashboard. In the next tutorial, we will show you how to Add a form in Concrete5.
