The previous guide in our working with blocks in Concrete5 series covered adding a layout block in Concrete5. In this tutorial we will show you how to change the order that available blocks display in. Organizing the list of available blocks can make it easier for you to access the commonly used block types, by moving them up the list.

This can be especially useful when you have long list of block types, and it takes time to scroll down to a specific option.

  1. Login to your Concrete5 Dashboard.
  2. Click the Dashboard button on the top.
  3. Under the Stacks & Blocks section, select Block Types. This will bring up the Block Types menu. Notice the arrows to the right of the block names, under the Installed Block Types heading.

  4. Clock the arrow to the right of the block you want to move, it will allow you to move this block up or down the list. They are in alphabetical order by default, you can reset this by scrolling down and clicking the Reset Order button.

Congratulations, now you know how to re-organize the display order for your block options in Concrete5! In the next guide we will cover creating a new stack in Concrete5
