In this tutorial we will show you how to use the Index Search Engine option in Concrete5. Indexing your site creates a catalog of your content, so when someone searches for something on your website, it can locate the information more quickly. This saves time by generating the search results more quickly, which can help to keep down the load on the server.

Indexing Your Search Engine:

  1. Log into your Concrete5 Dashboard.
  2. Roll your mouse over the Dashboard button and click System & Settings
  3. Under the Optimization section, select Automated Jobs, to bring the menu up.
  4. To the left of the item named Index Search Engine, click the play arrow to index your search engine. It may take some time to complete this step.

The Last Run column will update and reflect the new date, and the results of last run section will tell you what was accomplished.
