Being able to send email is one of the most important features of your email client.
When sending email to an email address, every email client is different. To assist you in sending emails we have articles in our Knowledge Base for many of the more popular email clients:
Particularly when sending business emails, it is important to know the difference between the CC and BCC email options. It is not complicated, but is great information to know if sending an email to multiple people.
CC: CC stands for Carbon Copy, and it just means that you are sending the email to multiple people. With Web Hosting Hub email you can send one email to up to 50 different email accounts by using the CC option in your email client. When you send an email and CC other recipients, everyone that receives your email can see who else the email was sent to.
BCC: BCC stands for Blind Carbon Copy. This means that any email addresses you place in the BCC section, no one else that you send the email to will see their email address on the list. This is useful if you are emailing a bunch of customers, but do not want the customers to get the email addresses of all your other customers. If you add additional emails in the BCC section, all the recipients of your email will not see who else the email was sent to.
In Thunderbird, the CC and BCC fields look like this, and all email clients will have this capability. In this example, Bill and Bob will see each other's email addresses but they both will not see Jill's since she is the BCC:
