The first time you access the McAfee Control Console you are required to setup a Password and security question, at times you may want to update this password and question. In this tutorial we will show you how to change your password and security question in the McAfee Control Console.

Changing Your Password:

1. Login to the McAfee Control Console.
2. Click the Preferences tab.
3. To the right of the Password option, click the Change Button.
4. Type your new password in the available fields, McAfee states "Password must be a minimum of 8 characters and includes a combination of at least two of the following three groups: letters, numbers, symbols (e.g. pas$word)." Click the Apply button.
   
   You will see a notification stating "The Preferences were updated successfully."
   
   

Changing Your Security Question:

1. Login to the McAfee Control Console.
2. Click the Preferences tab.
3. To the right of the Security Question option, click the Change Button.
4. Now click the drop down box and select a question, options are: Best childhood friend, Favorite historical person, Favorite teacher, Grandfather's occupation, Mother's birthplace, and Name of first pet.
5. Type the answer in the field below. Click the Apply button to save your changes.
   
   You will see a notification stating "The Preferences were updated successfully."
