When you are using McAfee Email Protection, any email that is flagged as Spam will be placed in a quarantine folder. In this tutorial we will show you how to Release, Always Allow, Delete, and View your Quarantined messages in the McAfee Control Console.
All Quarantined messages are deleted 7 days after they are received.
How to Work with the Control Console:
- Login to the McAfee Control Console.
- Click the Quarantine tab to view your spam emails.

- Releasing a quarantined email will allow it to be delivered to your Inbox. To release an email, click the check box to the left of the message, then click the Release button above.

You will see a notification stating "The selected message(s) have been released. They should appear in your Inbox within several minutes."
- When a quarantined email is from someone who you want to allow to email you, click the check box to the left of the message, then click the Always Allow button above. If you Always Allow a quarantined message, the sender will be added to your allowed senders list, or whitelisted, which will allow the sender to email you successfully. You will see a message stating "The selected message(s) have been released and the sender(s) added to your Allowed Senders List. The message(s) should appear in your Inbox within several minutes."
- If you want to delete an email immediately, click the check box to the left of the message, then click the Delete button. You will see a notification stating "The selected message(s) have been deleted."
- If you just want to see an email, but do not want to add the sender to the allowed list, click the check box to the left of the message, then click the View button. You will then be able to see the message.
