Occasionally, some hosting servers that use the Apage Web Server will have problems with the mod_rewriting that allows you to create shortcuts to different pages. One of the options in Apache is called Multiview.   Bascially, it is supposed to help the server figure out the the URL so that you can use a shortened name for a file instead of the exact file name. The following Prestashop 1.5 tutorial will guide you in disabling or enabling the option to use Apache Multiviews.

How to disable Apache Multiview in Prestashop 1.5

1. Login to the Administration Panel as an Administrator
2. Hover over the menu bar where it says PREFERENCES, and then click on SEO & URLS in the drop down menu.  You will see existing list of URLs.  Scroll down further until you see SET UP URLS. The following screenshot indicates the status of the setting:
   
   
   
   
   
3. Select YES to DISABLE APACHE MULTIVIEWS, or click on NO in order to leave APACHE MULTIVIEWS ENABLED.  Note: You should only disable multiviews if you are having problems with the rewriting of the URLS for your pages.  

Apache Multiviews is used to help the server determine URLs for your website.  However, if you continually have problems with your website page URLs it may help to disable the multiviews option that Apache enables.  Again, it should be emphasized that this option should only exercised when there are problems with resolving the correct URLs for your website pages.
