Free shipping often a good selling tactic above certain weights - though shipping & handling cost may often be worked into a product's cost at that point.  The option to include free shipping based on weight (in pounds) is an option in the Prestashop 1.5 administration panel.  The following Prestashop 1.5 tutorial will show you how to set free shipping based on a particular weight.

How to set Free Shipping based on Weight in Prestashop 1.5

1. Login to the Administration Panel as an Administrator
2. Hover over the menu bar where it says SHIPPING, and then click on SHIPPING in the drop down menu.  You will see two existing sections, one called HANDLING and another called BILLING. Scroll down until you see the following entry:

   
   

    

3. Click in the box where it says FREE SHIPPING STARTS AT (lb).  Fill in the weight that you wish to use for when free shipping will START.  If you do not wish to provide free shipping by weight, then leave the blank at 0.
4. Select the green SAVE button in the top right hand corner of the screen to save the value you have selected.
