Having a website that is compatible with mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, Android phones, Android tablets, and other smart phones is a great feature for your online business. It's not uncommon for customers to browse websites from their cell phone or tablet.

PrestaShop Mobile Version

Fortunately, a separate PrestaShop mobile version of your site should not be necessary. To demonstrate, here's a screen shot from an iPhone of our PrestaShop mobile store:

As you can see, PrestaShop scales quite nicely on a mobile device. A well coded PrestaShop theme will already be compatible with mobile devices. While there are PrestaShop mobile theme switcher modules and separate mobile themes, most sites will not need one of these to function on mobile devices.

PrestaShop Mobile Store Theme

If you would prefer to have a separate mobile theme for your PrestaShop store, there are modules and PrestaShop mobile themes available:

• PrestaShopM mobile store theme with theme switcher
• pMobile template. Includes theme and module for detecting and switching to the mobile store theme. Additional mobile themes also available.
• DevilMobile theme. This theme does not include detection to switch the mobile theme, so you would need to have a separate subdomain for your mobile website and use this theme for that subdomain.

Mobile PrestaShop

Going mobile with PrestaShop is becoming increasingly easier. Several companies offer mobile PrestaShop applications for managing your website or even creating a mobile PrestaShop app for your customers:

• Mobile PrestaShop Admin is a mobile PrestaShop application you can use to manage your PrestaShop store from your iPhone. Additional mobile apps are also available to allow PrestaShop administrators to view reports and orders and even an application for visitors to easily view and search products.
• MobiCart is a service which will allow you to create both iOS and Android apps for your mobile PrestaShop store.
• The PrestaShop team is also developing a free mobile PrestaShop application for iOS devices. This mobile PrestaShop application will make it possible for you to not only manage your back office, but create your own app for your PrestaShop mobile store.
