After logging into your WordPress Dashboard, you can make your first post to begin adding content to your website. A post is a message that you are adding to the body of your website. As you make more posts to your website, the most recent post will be at the top of the site and older posts will be bumped down the page. First, click on "Posts" on the left hand menu bar:

post1

This will display a list of any posts currently on your site as well as a new sub-menu. When you install WordPress, there is one blog post already made, called "Hello World!". Click on "Add New" under "Posts" to add your own blog post:

post2

This will bring up a page where you can make your new post, called the Editor. The Editor works similar to that in a word processor as you can use bold, underline, and other effects. Also don't forget to include a Title to your post. Once you are done, click on "Publish":

post3

Your post has now been published and can be viewed on your website! As we continue our Getting started in Wordpress series, the next tutorial we will show you how to create a Wordpress page.

First, a question:
What is the Interval setting for?

Second, a request:
The video advises you to “leave the character set as us-ascii” but the default is actually utf-8. Could you provide a brief description for the most commonly used sets?

Third, you have a small bug in the setup:
If you select Custom for the Stop time and then switch back to Never, the stop date remains and the Never setting gets ignored. When you try to save, you get an error that the Stop date must be later than the Start date (even if the Start date is Immediately) so you have to exit and start again.

Thx
