Backing up your site is a necessary part of normal account maintenance. Please read our article entitled Do you Run Backups of your Servers? for more information regarding backups.

Web Hosting Hub recommends periodic updates for all accounts hosted with us.  With a backup of your website, in the case of your site getting attacked or making a change that you later wish you had not, you can easily revert your site back to a prior status.  Backing up your website is easy in your account cPanel.

To backup your website, you will first need to log into your account cPanel.  This is a different link then your WordPress Dashboard.  Once you have logged in, follow our guide for Backing Up Your Website in the cPanel.  For WordPress, you will want to make sure that you not only back up the files in your directory, but also your WordPress MySQL Database as well.  Download your backup to your computer or to a local disk drive once cPanel has created the backup for you, the file will automatically have the date that the backup was taken to make organization easier.
