By default, your shopping cart uses a connection that is encrypted, however you can change that.  To help protect your visitors, you can configure Cube Cart to use the shared SSL provided on your Web Hosting Hub Server.

Setting up SSL for Cube Cart

1. Log into Cube Cart as the administrator
2. Go to Store Config, and then General Settings. In the Directories and Folders section, fill in these fields:

Root SECURE Public HTML Folder to store:

This will be /~userna5/pathtocubecart/ with 'userna5' being your Web Hosting Hub username.

Absolute SECURE URL to store:

This will depend on the SSL method you are using.

  • If using the shared SSL certificate:  Use https://secure23.webhostinghub.com/~userna5/pathtocart (userna5 is your Web Hosting Hub username, secure23 is the secure server name of the server you are on, and 'pathtocart' should be the folder that you have cubecart installed in)

  • If you have purchased a dedicated SSL Certificate: Use https://yourdomain.com/pathtocart

Enable SSL:

Select Yes

Your website should now be protected with a SSL connection.
