Standard view of FileZilla after successful uploadIn this tutorial we will show you how to upload a file using the FileZilla FTP client. FileZilla is a free open-sourced FTP client that is compatible with Windows and Mac, and can be downloaded here:

We are assuming you are familiar with the file structure of your website. For more information regarding where to create the file, here is a link to a helpful article that explains folder structure.


Uploading a file:

  1. Connect to your server using FileZilla.
  2. You will see your server's files listed in the top Remote site window, locate the folder you want to upload your file to.

  3. Drag and drop the file you want to upload into the folder you just located. The file will upload immediately, and you will then see it inside the folder. Your file is now uploaded.
