With the complexity of the different programs out on the web today, when using them for your site, you will inevitably need to access the configuration files. Configuration files are where many settings are stored that affect things such as database connection and the general file paths for programs. These are very important because if these settings are incorrect your site may not display on the web properly, if at all.

Not all programs are created equal and they certainly do not all store their configuration files in the same structure. Each program has its very own location and some can be difficult to find. You will find a list below that gives many common program names and the location of their respective configuration files.

This list is not an exhaustice one and will be updated as we find more programs to add. If you do not find the specific program you are looking for feel free to comment below with the program name and we will locate it and add it to the list.

Be advised that the paths listed below are relative to the installation folder for the program. For instance, if you installed the program named Gallery in the subfolder example.com/gallery the configuration file would be found at example.com/galler/config.php. If you installed Gallery as your main site at example.com, the configuration file would be found at example.com/config.php
