iWeb is a popular website design program used with the Mac that you can use to make your website.  With the correct settings, you can publish your site directly from iWeb onto your server with Web Hosting Hub.

Please note, the first time you publish your site, you will want to use the Publish Site button to publish the entire site. The next time you publish, you will only need to publish your changes and you will want to use the Publish Site Changes button for publishing your site edits. This prevents every file from being re-published which will decrease the time it takes to publish.

What are the settings to publish with iWeb?

First, open iWeb and load your website.  Once your site is loaded, click on the site title on the left menu to setup your publishing settings:

iweb

Publish to Select "FTP Server"
Site name: Enter "public_html"
FTP Server Settings
Server Address Enter "yourdomain.com" (be sure to replace this with your actual domain name)

Please note, if you have not yet pointed your domain to our Nameservers and allowed 4-24 hours for DNS to propagate, use your server name instead of your domain name.

User name Enter your ftp username, which is also your cPanel username
Password Enter your ftp username's password, which is also your cPanel password
Directory/Path (leave this blank)
Protocol Select FTP
Port Enter 21
Website URL Enter "http://yourdomain.com" (be sure to replace this with your actual domain name)

Once the settings have been modified, click the "Test Connection" button to make sure that you are able to connect.  Once you have connected, you can choose to publish either the entire site or just the pages that you changed.

How do I publish to an Addon Domain?

The above settings should be used when publishing to your main domain name. When publishing to addon domain names, everything is the same except for the following changes. Please be sure to replace domain2.com with your actual addon domain name.

Site name domain2.com
Directory/Path public_html
