How to Request a CSR when Purchasing an SSL Elsewhere

A dedicated SSL can be ordered directly through Web Hosting Hub or through a third party SSL vendor. This article is specifically for customers who wish to purchase their SSL from a different vendor. You can request your CSR through your Account Management Panel(AMP) following the steps below:

  1. Log into AMP
  2. Under ""Additional Services" click on Other.
  3. Choose the plan (if more than one is shown) you wish to request a CSR for.
  4. Click on the link "Add Simple CSR Request"
  5. In the next screen enter your desired certificate name. Usually secure. or www. are the most common certificate names, followed by the domain name. For example, if I was ordering a CSR for webhostinghub.com, and I wanted the host name to be www, I would enter www.webhostinghub.com.
  6. Click Next
  7. In this next screen enter in the information you want associated with the SSL you are ordering from the other vendor. This information should match the SSL information you will give the SSL vendor.
  8. Click Next
  9. On the final screen, review and confirm that you agree to the Terms of Service and click Submit.

Once you have submitted your CSR request, our Support Team will respond with the CSR which you will then provide to your SSL vendor. When you receive your SSL from your vendor, please respond to our email and attach your SSL. Our Support Team will then install your SSL.

SSL certificates require a dedicated IP address, the cost of which is $2.95 per month. With all SSL certificates (ordered through us or through another vendor) there is a one-time $25 installation fee.
