Is My Domain Registered?

I attempted to register my domain per your instructions, "Hello Daniel, Please note: It is important that you follow the instructions in this email, as soon as possible, to ensure your domain remains active. You are receiving this email in regards to dannydjournal.com. Due to ICANN policy, all registrars are required to validate the email address for new domain registrations and changes to WHOIS information. Please use the link below and follow the instructions on the page to verify your email address with our parent registrar:". I followed the link, and I think it said I was already registered. Tried again, received this message:

"Error

The email you are responding to has expired. Please refer to a later email message from Melbourne IT concerning the domain name [ dannydjournal.com ] and follow the instructions provided.
Thank you.
Melbourne IT Limited
Registrar of record for [ dannydjournal.com ] "

So, what's my next step? Wait for a further email from Melbourne? Is my domain mine yet? Sorry for such elemental questions, complete newb here. Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for your question on the verification email on your domain from Melbourne. Yes, the domain name is currently registered. The email is for verification of the email address on file and simply needs to be clicked on in order to verify the domain. If the time has expired, they will send another one after a period of time. So keep a lookout in your email for another one soon.
