If you should decide to your store or stop using WooCommerce, you can follow the steps below to remove the plugin from you WordPress installation.

Removing the WooCommerce Plugin

This will remove the WooCommerce plugin and associated files.

  1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard
  2. Choose Plugins
  3. Under WooCommerce choose Deactivate
  4. Choose Delete
  5. Click "Yes, delete these files and data"

Delete the WooCommerce pages

The above steps are sufficient to erase WooCommerce from your system, but remember when you installed WooCommerce it created a series of pages for your Shop, Cart, Checkout, etc.

Now that you have removed WooCommerce in your WordPress site you can do the likewise:

  • You can edit the pages to link to another site or Shop.
  • You can delete the pages
  • You can set these pages to Draft, which will unpublish them; and you can decide later what their final purpose will be.
