Can I safely delete all Wordpress files from the root directory in order to remove Wordpress? I have a custom website that I would like to copy to the root directory and activate.

Hello jamesandkeira,

Yes, you can certainly remove the files without issue. I would recommend using Softaculous to remove it however. This removes any files that are behind the scenes in addition to the database files.

Here is a link to our guide on uninstalling programs using Softaculous.

Best Regards,
