The previous guide in our working with groups and permissions series covered displaying & hiding errors in Concrete5. In this tutorial we will show you how to enable logging for application exceptions, and sent emails in Concrete5. This can be helpful when troubleshooting issues, or trying to review what occurred previously.

If this Logging is not enabled, records related to application exceptions, and sent emails will not be kept for later access.

How to Enable Logging in Concrete5:

  1. Login to your Concrete5 Dashboard.
  2. Roll your mouse over the Dashboard button on top, and select the option for System & Settings.
  3. Under the Environment section, select Logging Settings. This will bring up the Logging menu.
    OptionDetails
Log Application Exceptions When this is checked, anytime a software exception occurs, it will be logged for later review.
Log Emails Sent If this option is clicked, any sent email will be logged for later access.
Once you have made your selections, click the blue Save button on the bottom right. Congratulations, now you know how to enable application exception, and sent email logging in your Concrete5 Dashboard. Continue to the next tutorial which will cover viewing application exceptions & emails sent logs in the Concrete5
