Hello,

Every time I'm trying to connect to my ftp server, it fails.

I already tried on Windows, on Linux, with FileZilla or Nautilus, and I have this error "Error: Connection timed out
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing" when I do exactly what is written on WHH tutorials, or "the file is not a directory" with Nautilus,

What should I do ?

Thanks,

Hugo

Hello hugodussert!

Sorry for the trouble with your FTP connection. We were able to connect to your FTP using a test account. Please make sure your are using the correct hostname, username and password. Its possible you may not be connecting to the correct server.

You can use your domain name for the host, your cPanel username for the FTP username and your cPanel password for the FTP password. Please see the link below for more information.

Hello again,

I tried to connect from home and it worked well, so I guess it is because of the configuration of my school's network... Thank you to have answered that fast,
