What is the hostname for a Wordpress database
Hi,
I am trying to install wordpress to a sub domain I just created.
I created a new database, username and psw. then, I connected the usermame to the corresponding database.
I am getting "Error establishing a database connection"
I am not sure what Database host I should use? Thanks in advance!

Hello sandy2080, Thank you for your question. If you are connecting to a database within your account, the hostname you should use is: localhost If you are connecting to a remote database (one hosted on another server), you would use the domain name. For example: domain.com If you are having trouble installing Wordpress manually, I recommend using Softaculous to install Wordpress, since it is a simple one-click installation.
