Hi. I'd like some help understanding how we would transfer our website to webhostinghub.com.

We have domains hosted at godaddy.com:
- mcoop.org hosted and with nameservers at webhostinghub
- montclaircoop.org (primary), montclaircoop.com, montclaircooperativeschool.org, montclaircooperativeschool.com (forwarded to montclaircoop.org) with nameserver and DNS at 3essentials.com
- montclaircoop.org website residing at yourmembership.com.

We're switching from our hosted yourmembership.com site to WordPress (which we're prepping at webhostinghub). We also use Google Apps for Education for our email and other services, so we have some custom DNS A and CNAME and TXT records.

I believe we can keep our domains at godaddy.com, but change our nameservers to webhostinghub and set up the websites at webhostinghub, right?

What are the steps I would take to switch the nameservers, set up the hosting, and convert all of the DNS records so we don't lose any uptime?

Thank you for your question montclaircoop!

Before you get your sites pointed to our server, you will want to make sure your sites are working on our server first. You can upload and test your website using the temporary URL.

How do I Test my Website using the Temporary URL?

If all your email DNS records are at Godaddy for your Google then you will either want to set up the MX records on our server before you change the nameservers, or just point the "A" record for the website to our server and keep the email routing at Godaddy. Below is an article for setting up Google Apps on our server.

How to set up Google Apps MX Records

Once the MX records are set on our server and you site works then you can change the nameservers.

If you don't want to set up the MX records on our server and want to use Godaddy to route the Google email, You can just point the domain itself as an A record to our server. You can change the A record at Godaddy to your server IP address. You get your server IP address in your cPanel.

How to Find Your Shared IP Address in cPanel

If you just change the IP address at Godaddy for the websote you don't need to update the nameservers or your email MX records.

Best Regards,
James R
