Why is email access failing with ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.

On secure34.webhostinghub.com, my WHH email accounts cannot be accessed, failing with the above message. Problem is occurring currently at 09:45am Pacific.

accounts have been established and in use for months now.

Problem no longer occurs 15 minutes later. Continuing to monitor.

Hello bidwell,

Sorry to hear that you were having some issues accessing your email. Unfortunately I do see that there was a problem with the IMAP mail service on that server accepting new connections due to the IMAP authentication daemon having issues.

It looks like the issues did persist for roughly a half-hour, and I apologize for the delay in repair. It seems that POP email connections were still working during this time, which might have caused a delay in our system administration team fully noticing the resolving the problem.

Please let us know if you continue to experience any further issues at all.
