This can't be happening I got an email from WHS that my public_html folder is hacked. However, it is resolved now. I logged in to the Cpanel and found that the whole public_html folder is deleted. The technical support said that WHS team quarantined the folder. How can I get the folder back?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you cannot see your public_html folder. If a site is hacked and, especially repeatedly, and considered compromised or a high security risk the files themselves may be quarantined. It is not safe at that point to restore tainted files.

Once they are quarantined you will need to upload a clean backup copy or reinstall the core files of your CMS. We can assist with pointing the files to the proper database, provided it is still clean. Files such as images or other uploads can likely be retrieved from the quarantined section so you do not have to restore those from local drives, though if you can, it is best.

Kindest Regards,
Scott M
