Confirming and activating my account.

I have not received any email confirmation for my domain name, or a telephone call to activate my account. I have sent emails and I have contacted technical support 24/7 and they tell me I can call them and I will need a copy of photo id and credit card. I started signing up for domain 24 hours ago in U.K. Are there any other options than making an international call? and is this copy of documentation necessary?, as concerned about my data protection. The charge for signing up is pending from my account, and I do not want to pay for something I cannot activate. Any help or suggestions, as I didn't realise this process was going to be so difficult.

Hello alik461,

As all accounts need to be manually confirmed, some accounts (such as many international accounts) will need to confirm the identity of the account-holder before they can be active.

I see that our confirmations team has reached out to you via email to confirm your account. Be sure to check the emails that they have sent to the email address you signed up for your account with for any further instructions you may need to follow such as replying with verification if requested.

I have also reached out to that team in which they will place a call to you as well. Once they receive the proper information from you to confirm your account, they will be able to activate it.
