Unsure about the use of my domain

Hi,

Several days ago I setup an account and bought a domain (planetsentry.com) with IPage, but this ended up being a disaster.
So I cancelled, and after some research ended up at webhostinghub (and don't regret it!)

Before I cancelled my account at Ipage, I ensured that I changed the nameservers of my domain. Although my domain does show up at the admin details of this account it only gives me a temporary url and control panel. Does this have something to do that you can't transfer domain within 60 days of registration or did I do something wrong? Or am I simply impatient?

Thanks!

Hello PlanetSentry,

I am showing your domain is pointed to our nameservers and working correctly. When working with the admin (cpanel) area, you will notice alternative addressing in the browser, that is normal as the server redirects it. You can sign in directly at http://planetsentry.com/cpanel as well.

The only thing the 60 day rule affects is the ability to change physical registrars for the domain name, DNS changes such as pointing to nameservers are allowed. There could possibly still be some propagation that will not allow you direct cpanel access via the domain name (http://planetsentry.com/cpanel), but that usually only takes up to 24 hours at most, and in most cases much less.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.

Best Regards,
Scott M
