Hi all,

I've started to get a '500 Internal Server Error' across various of my websites which are all on 1 webhostinghub account. I've checked the error log and it has about 15 errors each stating 'too many open files'.

How can this be resolved? Is this a setting chosen by Webhostinghub themselves putting a limit to how much activity can happen across your account?

Most of my websites are built using Wordpress but all are up to date. The others are just simple static ones.

Many thanks
Edwin

Hello Edwin,

Check out our article on troubleshooting 500 errors.

In general, when we see this error, there is a permissions problem somewhere that is causing the issue. I ran a script to run through your account permissions and fix them. I'm able to see your site running now. Please check and let us know if the problem persists. You may call live technical support for a more immediate answer if you need further help.

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page.
