Hi. Thank you for the great info on how to restore any wp site which has been hacked. I managed to restore the index.php file in the public html successfully by following your guideline in the website. However, I tried to restore the wp-admin index page by following the instruction given in your website (by copying the index.php file and paste in in my index.php file) but unsuccessful. You can refer to my website to see the error displayed. (www.suriagroup.com.my/wp-admin)

The error message displayed as written below:
Warning: require_once(./admin.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/surimmy1/public_html/wp-admin/index.php on line 10

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required './admin.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/surimmy1/public_html/wp-admin/index.php on line 10

What should I do? Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance. Really appreciate the info shared in your website.

Thanks again.

Hello Coco,
Thank you for your question regarding removing a Wordpress hack.

Hacks can vary, I would recommend contacting your hosting company for more specific assistance.

However, you can download a copy of the Wordpress files from their official download site, make sure you get the version that matches you installation. It will include the default wp-admin file.

Thank you,
