Hello ilker,

Thank you for your question about installing WordPress. The directory you want to install to will depend on whether you wish to install and use WordPress for the entire site or just use it on a separate subdomain or subfolder (e.g. blog.yourdomain.com or yourdomain.com/blog).

If you want to use WordPress for an entire site or subdomain, in Fantastico simply choose that domain name or subdomain and leave the directory blank.

If you want to use WordPress in a separate subfolder (e.g. yourdomain.com/blog) then choose your domain name and type in the subfolder name you want to install it to for the "Install in directory." Please note, the directory cannot already exist or Fantastico will not be able to complete the installation.

For the full step-by-step instructions for installing WordPress, please see our article How to Install WordPress through your cPanel

I hope this helps to clarify installing WordPress. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
