The previous guide in our working with groups and permissions in Concrete5 series went over allowing users to set their time zone. In this tutorial, we will guide you in setting your login destination in your Concrete5 Dashboard. This setting allows you to direct users on your website to a specific page, after successfully logging in. This can save time for users by bringing them to the page they use most often.

  1. Login to your Concrete5 Dashboard.
  2. Roll your mouse over the Dashboard button on top, and click the System & Settings option toward the bottom.
  3. Under the Login & Registration section, select Login Destination. This will bring up the Login Destination menu.

Choose which page you want to redirect users to:
    OptionDescription
Homepage This option will direct people to your Concrete5 homepage.
Member profile If public profiles are enabled, users will be sent to their profile page.
Custom This option allows you to direct users to a specific page in your site structure.
Redirect administrators to dashboard When this option is selected, administrators are sent to the Dashboard after logging in.

Once you have made your selections, click the blue Save button on the bottom. Congratulations, now you know how to set your login destination in Concrete5. The next tutorial will cover displaying or hiding errors in Concrete5
