I've tried this and nothing seems to work. My trash box is empty so the problem does not lay with a full trash file. This is frustrating as hell!

Hello Neliep@telus.net,

It would help if you provided much more information that what you have provided. If you want to preserve privacy for your account, then I highly suggest you contact live support. I did some looking around and if the above information did not work (it came straight from Apple), double-check to make sure you password wasn't changed in one place and not on your phone. If it isn't that, you need to provide us more information on your email protocol (POP or IMAP), any error messages, and the email account you're having the issue with. Again - to preserve the privacy of your account, it's best to contact live support. Solutions discussed in the support center website are public.

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page.

Regards,

Arnel C.

You need to check the Trash box under the On the Server Inbox and uncheck the Trash box under the On My Iphone section.

Another website suggested to add the word INBOX where the iphone asks for a prefix - it worked for me!
