If you are needing specific security fixes such as XSS and DOS Vulnerabilities, multi-language updates, PostgreSQL Driver, TinyMCE update and more, you will want to upgrade to Joomla 3.1. It is always recommended to keep your website security up to date as much as possible. If you have a know exploit, try upgrading to Joomla 3.1 to fix the exploit.
