If you've forgotten your cPanel password, you can reset it from within your Account Management Panel (AMP). In this guide we will walk you through a password reset within AMP. If you know your password, you can also reset your cPanel password in cPanel directly.

How to Reset your cPanel Password in AMP:

  1. Log into your AMP
  2. Within your hosting plan section in AMP, click on Reset Password.
    Account Management panel Password Reset
  3. On the Reset Password screen, enter your new password twice, and click Submit.

You will then see a message stating "Your password has been reset.."

This shows the old version of cPanel. The new home doesn't look like this, and I can't find the easy way to change my password.

Hello mals86,

Since the above cPanel password reset is accomplished via AMP, you should be able to reset your password without issue.

If you need help changing your cPanel theme, please contact Live Support.

I was directed to these instructions from the cPanel login page, but this doesn't help if I can't get into my cPanel. A simple link below the login in the cPanel login page that redirect to a reset page would be nice. Thanks!

Hello Miguel,

Thank you for contacting us. You do not need access to your cPanel to change your password.

The above guide shows you how to reset your cPanel password from AMP (Account Management Panel). This is convenient, since you do not need to know the original password.

Thank you,
John-Paul

I'm trying several times to ftp log in via FileZilla but it doesn't work. Please help. FYI, I leave the port number empty.

Thanks in advance.

Please see our FTP guide, try using your server IP for the hostname, and note any errors.
