There are errors that you may receive that are dependent on certain versions of programs working with specific versions of others. Below are instructions for how to find your MySQL version in your cPanel using the phMyAdmin tool.

How to locate your MySQL version number

  1. First, log into your cPanel interface.

  2. 1-phpmyadminThis leads you to the main cpanel screen. From here, find the Databases catagory. Next, locate and click on the phpMyAdmin icon.

  3. sql version on right hand sideFrom the main phpMyAdmin page, find the right hand panel. You will see a couple of different segments there. Find the one named "Database Server". There is a field labeled Software version. The number next to that field is your MySQL version.
