The Index Manager can be used to control the view of a directory on your site. If you have a directory that does not contain an index file and you do not want users to be able to browse that directory, you can set the Index Manger to No Indexing for that directory. For example, if you have an images folder that does not containg an index file, by default, visitors would see a list of files if they browsed that folder yourdomain.com/images:

You can set the Index Manager to "No Indexing" and it will block visitors from going to yourdomain.com/images directly and seeing that list of files:

The Index Manager is under the Advanced area of your cPanel home screen:

cpanel-index-manager
