I have been using email server secure27.webhostinghub.com. Suddenly yesterday my email client started saying that the SSL certificate doesn't match. I did not change my email settings, so I think something happened with the server's SSL certificate. Can you please check?

I chatted with someone in tech support yesterday and they said it would be a few hours before the certificate was refreshed but the problem remains this morning.

The retrieved certificate says:

Issued to:
Common name: localhost
Organization: Courier Mail Server
Organizational unit: Automatically-generated POP3 SSL key
...

Issued by:
Common name: localhost
Organization: Courier Mail Server
Organizational unit: Automatically-generated POP3 SSL key

Validity:
Issued on: 9/17/2012
Expires on: 9/17/2013

My email settings are:
Server name: secure27.webhosting.com
Port: 995
User name: (my email address)
Connection security: SSL/TLS
Authentication method: Normal password

Hello abh665,

The server you are on is having an issue and is currently running on a failover backup. It does seem some details did not copy over correctly, this appears to be either one of them, or a coincidental expiration. Our Systems team is working on correcting this so that the site and email will work as it was previously while on the backup.

Best Regards,
Scott M
